Translated to English “beatus” means blissful, blessed, overflowing. And this is how beatus (born in 1955) feels, when trying more or less successfully to paint images of the beatorum insulae (islands of the blessed) on the canvas with brushes and colours. His works are aimed at the invisible which comes into existence in the head of the viewer and on the suspicion of transcendence.

 The painter is of the opinion that his painting exercises are still insufficient, for he did not start them before the second half of his life. After all the becoming artist hopes to approach his aim, the real painting somewhat more with each painted yellow pear and with each wild rose. The journey is the reward for beatus.
